Careers
It is the continuing aim of the Partnership to encourage high calibre staff to join the Practice. Every assistance is then given to achieve Chartered status as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors where relevant.
The practice positively encourages training and subsequent further education to develop allied skills.
The Practice provides financial support to trainees to achieve Chartered status by the reimbursement of course fees, as well as providing day release or similar opportunity. Further education support is provided to staff members who demonstrate an aptitude towards specialisms, including those within our wholly owned subsidiary companies undertaking dispute resolution/legal support and project management services. Additional qualifications such as a degree in Law, diploma in Arbitration, or higher degree in Construction Management or Business Studies are actively encouraged to achieve career progression in these fields.
Continuing Professional Development is also encouraged for all members of staff in order that skills may be up-dated and developed. We regularly host seminars in-house on matters of general or particular interest, with speakers from within the practice or invited from allied professions. From time to time we also join with other construction related practices to give seminar papers on matters of topical interest. Recent examples have included talks on the Housing Grants Construction and Regeneration Act, Framework Agreements, Alliance Contracts and the like.
Corderoy encourage all staff to take responsibility, progression through the firm and rewards follow. Details of our Fast Tracking scheme are given in the Graduates section.
